Welcome to the Great Dane Club of Mat-Su Alaska’s Web page.
About us:
The Great Dane Club of Mat-Su Alaska was formed in August 1997 to meet the needs of Great Dane owners throughout Alaska.  Over recent years the Mat-Su (this stands for Matanuska-Susitna) Valley became the fastest growing area in population in Alaska. The area is a nice mixture of both farming and city life. We also have members living in Anchorage, Kenai, Fairbanks and other areas but primarily are centered in and around the Mat-Su Valley.

As of 2004 we were accepted by the Great Dane Club of America as an affiliate club and remain the only affiliated Great Dane Club in Alaska at this time. We have members active in obedience, conformation, agility and rescue work and have started an Alaska spay/neuter program for people in need of financial assistance to alter their Great Dane. Since our membership has both breeders and long time pet Great Dane owners, we provide a forum for the novice Great Dane owner to come for advice on training, ear taping, medical or general questions.
